Sibrian presents at two conferences - Boise State News

Boise State News March 17, 2021 Becca Sibrian, World Languages, faculty/staff, Studio portrait by Priscilla Grover Becca Sibrian, a lecturer of German in the Department of World Languages, presented “Testing in the age of COVID” during the Pacific Northwest Council for Language – Stronger Together conference, held virtually this year March 5-6. During this presentation, she discussed the transition to remote learning in her German courses in the spring of 2020 and how she transitioned to Project Based Assessments to better serve her students and to better highlight what her students could “do” in the language. The second half of this presentation was a workshop to help other language educators brainstorm about this for their classrooms.

This photo is among those in a new exhibit in MTSU s Baldwin Photographic Gallery, An Eye Towards Justice, on display through Thursday, April 15. Books and Beer - Factory Girls - Jeffrey Angles / Takako Arai

Posted by Scott Bade for Humanities The University Center for the Humanities at Western Michigan University invites all to the next Virutal “Books and Beer,” online event. Books and Beer events celebrate publications from University faculty over the last year. This month we celebrate Jeffrey Angles from the Department of World Languages and Literatures. At 5:30pm on March 18, Jeffrey Angles (editor / translator) and Takako Arai (poet) will read poems from Factory Girls. There will be a brief Q&A / discussion after the reading. This event will be conducted online via Webex.
