Skiing in Australia v New Zealand: Which country offers the best snow experience?

Seriously, if the lifts are running and there s snow on the ground, then the best snow resort is always the one you re at. Skaters facility ramping up at Shotover Country

Mountain Scene May 11, 2021 By GUY WILLIAMS A group of residents behind a project to build a skateboarding ramp for younger children in Queenstown’s Shotover Country are on a final fundraising push. The mini ramp project was instigated by Nick Hyne and George Carver about two years ago, and they’ve since been joined by a team of other locals to help push it along. Group member Gavin Flynn says the group recently got approval from Queenstown council’s parks team to build the ramp in Richmond Park, right next to an existing pump bike track. ‘‘There are not a lot of community facilities in Shotover Country, and we think it’s a really good location,’’ Flynn says.
