Sindhu, who didn t have a good outing in the last three events in Thailand in January, seemed completely clueless against a rampaging Marin.
Playing her first final in 18 months, Sindhu, ranked 7th in the world, entered the match with a 5-8 head-to-head record against Marin, having lost her last two matches against the former world no 1.
It was a one-way traffic after the break as Marin continued the momentum, grabbing four straight points to move to 15-8.
World champion PV Sindhu finished a distant second in the Swiss Open final after being completely routed by Olympic gold medallist Carolina Marin of Spain in a lop-sided women’s singles title clash here on Sunday (March 7). The 25-year-old Indian, who had won the coveted World Championship gold medal here in 2019, couldn t match the speed and accuracy of top seed Marin during her 12-21, 5-21 defeat in the final that lasted only 35 minutes.

The best ten 3x3 games in Novi Sad s history
NOVI SAD (Serbia) - Since their first tournament together in 2013, until their final games in 2020, Novi Sad has been the best team in 3x3. Let s look back at 10 of their greatest games during their reign of dominance.
Novi Sad vs Bucharest: Prague Masters 2013
The best 3x3 team of all time actually did not qualify for the first edition of the World Tour. Their debut only happened on the second year, in 2013, and started terribly. The Serbs hardly made it out of the pools (1 win, 2 losses). After that, everything changed. Novi Sad came back early the next morning (the games were played earlier because of the rain), beat their nemesis from Piran (then called Ljubljana) before taking down (20-15) a veteran Bucharest team, which featured one of the first stars of 3x3, Angel Santana. Dusan Bulut scored a game-high 9 points and flashed a crossover dribble, we soon got very familiar with.

Bangkok, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jan, 2021 ) :Top-ranked Tai Tzu-ying won a dramatic cliffhanger women s badmintonWorld Tour Final in BangkokSunday, blocking reigning Olympic champion Carolina Marin s bid for a hat-trick of titles in three weeks.
Marin beat the Taiwanese 26-year-old two weeks in a row during the previous Thailand Open tournament finals.
But the Spaniard had a shaky start Sunday as Tai exploited holes in her defence, mounting a successful comeback in the later stages and winning the opener 21-14.
Marin was loud and fiesty in her verbal celebrations and a visibly annoyed Tai soon found her own voice.
