Biloxi High School ranked #2 on the list of best schools in Mississippi

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Biloxi High School staff and students walked into school Wednesday with their heads held higher than before. According to U.S. News and World Reports, Biloxi High School is ranked second on the list of best schools within Mississippi.
They were bumped up from being fourth in the state to second out of 238 high schools.
The school is also ranked first in the Gulfport, MS Metro Area High Schools and number 1,762 in National Rankings. The national publication said it ranks schools based on state test scores, college readiness and graduation rates.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY Thirty-four high schools in the Hudson Valley are among the best in the United States, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report, and Croton Harmon High School is among them.
This year s list ranks more than 17,800 public high schools throughout the country, giving them scores within their state as well as nationwide.
Croton Harmon received an overall score of 98/100.

About a year ago, I began what was to be a three-part series on how the unfairness of Caddo Middle Magnet’s (CMM) sibling policy results in white kids with lower scores getting admitted to magnet schools over Black and white kids with higher scores.
Part 1 addressed how CMM was created for the express purpose of integrating and enhancing the quality of education for local students while redressing Caddo Parish’s racist Jim Crow era school policies. Part 2 demonstrated how that mission has been abandoned as evidenced by CMM now largely educating white students, even though the school district is roughly 70% Black.
