NEW BRUNSWICK A mix-up at a Baltimore facility that manufactures two coronavirus vaccines contaminated as many as 15 million doses of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine, forcing regulators to delay authorising the plant’s production lines. Officials have called it human error.
The plant is run by Emergent BioSolutions, a
manufacturing partner to both Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca, the British-Swedish company whose vaccine is yet to get a nod for authorised use in the US.
