The investment will ensure that the whole community has the use of a top-class sporting facility Tuesday, 27th April 2021, 3:23 pm Creasey Park Community Football Centre has opened a new full-size artificial turf pitch (ATP) after investing £1.1m of funding from the Housing Infrastructure Fund. The installation was initiated and managed by Central Bedfordshire Council in partnership with Dunstable Town Council. The new pitch has been built primarily for activities such as football and hockey. It is also in the process of becoming fully FIFA (Federation of International Football Association) and FIH (International Hockey Federation) accredited. The new pitch is the latest in third generation design and features a new Intelligent Play System as well as environmental improvements such as LED floodlights.

Fareham College to be Covid testing centre A COLLEGE in Hampshire is set to be made a community testing centre for coronavirus, as early as next week. From February 22, Fareham College will be one of 11 community testing sites to open in the county. The scheme by Hampshire County Council will test people with no coronavirus symptoms but who need to leave home for work. Executive Leader Cllr Sean Woodward said: The introduction of free rapid community testing is a significant step in our fight against COVID-19. I encourage anyone who is eligible for the scheme to get tested regularly to ensure that we identify positive cases more quickly. We are working closely with Hampshire County Council to plan the roll out and ensure that stringent safety measures are in place at the Fareham College site to prevent any possible spread of the virus.

Vaccinations are available by appointment only / The LVC does not offer drop-in services / Please don’t just turn-up without an appointment – you won’t be offered vaccination. The LVC is managed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and will play a key role in the local vaccination programme – alongside GP practices and the Mass Vaccination Centre (MVC) in Deeside.
