Allegany County adds 19 COVID cases, 30 recoveries
District IV, Wellsville and Andover, continues to account for the most cases with 576

BELMONT Allegany County added 19 new COVID-19 cases for a total of 1,614 to date.
The county reported a pair of encouraging statistics. Recoveries outpaced new cases Monday, with 30 new recoveries for a total of 1,419 to date. The number of residents in quarantine/isolation dropped from 789 Sunday to 783 on Monday.
Also on Monday, the Allegany County Department of Health reported updated statistics regarding cases broken down by legislative district through Dec. 20.
District IV, Wellsville and Andover, continues to account for the most cases with 576, 36% of the county’s total.

CUMBERLAND â Jeffery D. OâNeal, executive director of clinics, practices and behavioral health, UPMC Western Maryland, will serve as chair of the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce board of directors in 2021.
BELMONT â Allegany County officials noted another spike in COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, while also noting FDA warnings on scam tests and treatments for the disease.
The Allegany County Department of Health reported 42 new cases were reported Wednesday, bringing the total reported to date to 1,495 in the county.
Of the total number of cases, there are 175 active cases, 1,270 have resulted in recoveries, with 50 deaths reported.
Currently, there are 890 residents in quarantine or isolation, an increase of 31 compared to Tuesday. To date, 6,383 quarantines or isolations have been ordered, with 5,493 released.
