Watson Street to be closed for prom.
The Bedford High School Prom will be held on the evening of Friday, April 30. That portion of Watson Street located between East Street (near Ritchey Avenue) and extending into Meadowbrook at the intersection of Watson and Arandale will be closed to all traffic between 4:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. for the event. Vehicle operators should take extra precaution when driving in/near that area.
Bulky Waste Day set.
Bedford Township will hold its annual Bulky Waste Day for township and Bedford Borough residents on Saturday, April 24, from 8 a.m. until noon at the Bedford Township building, 1037 Shed Road, with the assistance of borough volunteers. All appliances will be accepted at no charge. Car and small truck tires will be accepted for a fee of $3 off the rim and $4 on the rim; truck and tractor tires will have a fee of $20 off the rim or $25 with.
