A Jackson County man was charged Friday with the December slaying of one man and the shooting of another at Rolling Ridge Apartments in Athens.
Athens-Clarke police Lt. Shaun Barnett said Christopher Tryone Rollins, 30, of Jefferson is charged with murder in the slaying of Quamick Malik Aziz, 27, of Athens.
Rollins also faces a charge of aggravated assault for wounding 22-year-old Deundre Moses, 22, of Athens.
Rollins, who is in jail without bond, is also charged with possession of a firearm during a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
“While an arrest has been made, our investigation is still ongoing so we are not releasing a motive,” Barnett said. “Investigators are confident they know the motive.”

BPD looking for at-risk missing teen

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) â The Bakersfield Police Department is asking the communityâs help in locating a missing teen.
Angel Benny Arausa, 17, was last seen on June 1 in the 6800 block of Rolling Ridge Drive. Arausa is considered at risk due to no prior history of running away. Arausa is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5-feet tall and weighing 143 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information regarding Arausaâs whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111.
