Five Women Honored in French Overseas Territories
Angélique Le Bouter (La1ere.francetvinfo) reported that yesterday (March 8, 2021), on International Women’s Rights Day, the Ministry for Equality between Women and Men, Diversity and Equal Opportunities honored five women and associations that stand out because of their commitment to the defense of women’s rights: Daniely Francisque (Martinique), Cécile Kouyouri (Guyana), Aminat Hariti (Mayotte), Annick Solvar (Guadeloupe), and Carole Ledoyen (Reunion). LAHORE: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that respect of women is a part of our social and religious norms.
West cannot even imagine the rights which have been awarded to the women in Islam. Allah Almighty has given respect to woman by making her custodian of beautiful relations like mother, daughter and sister.
In his message on the occasion of World Women’s Rights Day, the chief minister said that women are approximately 50 per cent of the population of Pakistan. He said that role of women in practical life for the socio-economic development of the country cannot be neglected. Previous governments did not take any positive step to include women in the national mainstream.

The theme of the International Women s Day for the year 2021,: Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 World reflects the determination of the international community to support Gender equality and the Empowerment of women, through their participation and representation at the level of all decision-making bodies.
At the African Union Commission, parity is a prerequisite for the success of our endeavour. This is the reason why, since the inception of our Union, the issue of parity has been included not only in our Constitutive Act, but also in the modalities of our elections. Today, we are happy to achieve this in the highest organs of our Organisation. Written in the Constitution of many of our States, I urge all to apply this parity.
