Most will probably respond working at home and wearing loungewear. Makes sense, right? Everyone wants to be comfy while in their comfort zone. The pandemic has had a similar effect on home design trends.
According to “Style Spotters” at the fall High Point Market, the influential biannual furnishing industry trade show held in High Point, N.C., as people worked, played and just stayed at home during the pandemic, there has been a renewed interest in home offices and family lounging areas and those trends are expected to continue into 2021.

Fresh off its recent acquisition by New York–based private equity firm Centre Lane Partners, Lenox Corporation has announced an acquisition of its own: flatware and cutlery company Hampton Forge, along with its Hampton Forge Signature, Tomodachi, Skandia, and Argent Orfèvres brands. The news follows the shuttering of Lenox’s factory in Kinston, North Carolina, and the closure of its outlet shops. According to CEO

HIGH POINT â The cityâs largest hotel has apparently changed names again.
The property at 135 S. Main St. is no longer under the Red Lion brand and is now called the Craftsman Plaza Hotel, according to the website of Great American Hotel Group, which lists the High Point location as one of its âfeatured properties.â
The hotel, which has been closed for remodeling since last spring, had been known as Red Lion in recent years.
A call to the Great American Hotel Group corporate office in Dover, New Hampshire, was not returned.
Nancy Bowman, director of sales and marketing for Visit High Point, the primary tourism agency in the city, said she knew the hotel had dropped the Red Lion name but did not know its branding plans.
