Caitlyn Wurzburger’s storied high school career and headline-making recruiting process has made her one of the most well-known incoming freshmen ever. COVID-permitting, she’ll begin her quest for a national championship at North Carolina this spring.
North Carolina coach Jenny Levy remembers hearing the crazy news: An eight-grader committed to Syracuse women’s lacrosse.
“We were in the office, and someone came in and said, ‘An eighth-grader committed to Syracuse,’” says Levy. “We were like, ‘What? That’s crazy.’ Now, knowing Caitlyn, it doesn’t surprise me just because of how focused and driven she is.”
Ram Jam: Davis Bryant Relives 7-Under Round
Davis Bryant is getting ready to hit the links for the CSU Rams this spring.
He s coming off a season where he averaged 70.67 strokes per round, the best of any Rams golfers.
Bryant s best round came at the Saint Mary s Invitational where he shot a career best 7-under the 64 par. At that meet, the CSU Rams team finished 17-under.
The Aurora native finished last season finished the season ranked 39
th by Golfstat and 53
rd by Golfweek. It was strong improvement from his freshman season where he averaged 72.19 strokes per round, good for 10th on fourth-best on the Rams season.
