Over 100 Staff and Students in Quarantine in New Lothrop Another large quarantine has hit a public school system in the area. Over 100 students and staff from New Lothrop Area Public Schools are now in quarantine. The school was notified over the weekend and into Monday regarding four students who tested positive for COVID-19. Those four students were from the junior high and high school. We were notified yesterday evening, February 21st and this afternoon, February 22nd , that four students in our Jr./Sr. High School have tested positive for COVID-19. We are responsible for notifying students and parents of an exposure. You have been notified today by one of our Jr./Sr. High School Staff. Furthermore, the Shiawassee County Health Department will follow-up regarding your student’s close contact .
