A handful of restaurants in Chicago are raising prices, adding service charges to bills or finding new sources of revenue to raise wages and move away from relying on tips to pay less than minimum wage.

By Jordan Henry -The State of Michigan turns 184 today!   -Monday, Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II announced that the state of Michigan will partner with One Fair Wage to distribute more than $250,000 in relief for restaurant owners and essential workers, as well as community members in need. Funding for the program, called High Road Kitchens, comes from the non-profit organization One Fair Wage.   -The Mattawan village board debated building a new wastewater treatment plant Monday. The village of Mattawan plans to conduct another environmental study before moving forward. Mattawan’s sewer system has been hooked up to the Kalamazoo wastewater facility since 1999 and the village said a six-mile section of the water main is failing – special thanks to WWMT for that report.
