CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Are police in your city chasing criminals too much? Or, not enough?
As that discussion continues across Northeast Ohio, 19 Investigates discovered data that shows a stark contrast between local departments when it comes to how often they engage in a pursuit.

On Sunday, the Ohio Highway State Patrol announced that five Northeast Ohio bars and restaurants have been cited for violating health orders.
Waterbury Coach House in Lakewood was cited for improper conduct- disorderly activity. Agents found that patrons and staff were not adhering to social distancing and that little to no COVID-19 protocols were in place. This is the second citation that Waterbury Coach House has received this year, the first came on Jan. 8.
Criminal mischief was reported at midnight Tuesday in the 5000 block of Saddle Ridge Drive.
Burglary of a habitation â no forced entry â was reported at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the 4400 block of East Rancier Avenue.
Possession of marijuana under 2 ounces was reported at 12:06 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Chantz Drive and East Stan Schlueter Loop.
Harassment of a public servant was reported at 1:02 p.m. Wednesday in the 3300 block of Community Boulevard.
Unlawful restraint was reported at 1:12 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Becker Drive.
Public intoxication was reported at 1:52 p.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of North W.S. Young Drive.

Sterling Heights PD building bridges with community with their free police academy

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (FOX 2) - Sterling Heights Police Department launched its free citizens police academy. The academy gives residents a first-hand look at what it takes to be a police officer in their community - including training with firearms.
Civilians get 30 hours of instruction from Sterling Heights officers, including shoot-don’t-shoot simulations, tazer training and a day with a police dog.
