HEBER CITY, Utah â An alleged incident of racism at a local high school athletic event is under investigation.
The incident stems from an altercation following the lacrosse match between Wasatch High School and Highland High School on Friday, May 7.
Parents from Highland High School sent Wasatch High a complaint alleging three Wasatch players used racial slurs.
âAt the end of the game, a fistfight happened. During the fight, three players yelled out, âGet the n-wordsâ and went after one of the Black players on the Highland team,â Lex Scott, the founder of Black Lives Matter, read from a civil rights complaint filed with her organization.

SALT LAKE CITY â The Salt Lake City neighborhood of Glendale will host First Lady Dr. Jill Biden in a fast-paced tour of the diverse community.
In Dr. Jill Bidenâs second trip out west in less than a month, she will focus on students, educators, front-line workers and members of the LatinX community.
The whirl-wind visit starts at Glendale Middle School. While most of the children will be learning online Wednesday, sheâs expected to meet with students in two after-school programs.
