Centre County reported 64 new COVID-19 on Tuesday to bring its total to 15,381, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 6,638 cases its highest single-day increase since Jan. 29 for a statewide total of 1,082,062.
The county also had 61 additional negative test results over the two days, increasing its total to 66,161. Across Pennsylvania, there were 9,847 new negatives for a total of 4,242,714.
Mount Nittany Medical Center is treating 30 COVID-19 inpatients as of Tuesday morning. The patients range in age from 19 to 90, according to a hospital spokesperson.
The medical center has had 62 COVID-related admissions with an average daily census of 23 so far in April. In March there were a total of 124 COVID admissions and an average daily census of 18.
Pennsylvania added 5,048 positives, bringing the statewide total to 1,064,092.
The county also had 154 additional negative test results, increasing its total to 65,792. Across Pennsylvania, there were 9,796 new negatives for a total of 4,210,112.
Centre County’s total number of reported deaths attributed to the virus remained unchanged at 213 for the 34th consecutive day.
DOH reported 35 new COVID-19 deaths statewide, increasing Pennsylvania’s total is 25,362.
Mount Nittany Medical Center is treating 25 COVID-19 inpatients, two more than on Thursday. The patients range in age from 22 to 89, according to a hospital spokesperson.
In March, the medical center had 124 COVID positive admissions and an average daily census of 18 COVID inpatients. Through the first nine days of April, Mount Nittany already has had 37 COVID-related admissions and an average daily census of 22.
