(MENAFN) The provincial government confirmed that an unintended blast killed a Taliban shadow district chief and three of his assistants in Afghanistan s eastern Logar province on Tuesday.
The government said in a statement that Four militants, including Mullah Saifullah, an insurgents shadow district chief for Baraki Barak district, were busy in planting an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) along a road in Shekari village of Baraki Barak when the IED detonated accidentally Tuesday morning, killing the four.
The province, about 60 km south of Afghanistan s capital Kabul, has been targeted by several fatal explosions in recent years.
No comments on the report have been made by the Taliban outfit yet.

Janice Dawkins was a special education aide at Mossy Creek Elementary school.
