Creative Spark has recently launched a plan to support creativity, innovation and small business in Louth
The Dundalk centre, which is a Company Limited by Guarantee and a registered charity, operates as a not-for-profit social enterprise which aims to develop the local creative industries sector, support new and established innovative enterprises and activate creativity in the community.
Creative Spark first opened its doors in October 2012 and is led by a voluntary Board of Directors and a team of experienced staff.
As it launched its strategic plan for 2021-2023, Creative Spark’s stated vision is to provide a collaborative environment where learners, educators, innovators, start-ups, SMEs, creative industries and the local community can meet and exchange ideas, knowledge and best practice – to provide economic opportunity and development across the region.
New Skillnet Business Network to be launched in Manorhamilton

Industry 4.0 Skillnet is a new Skillnet Business Network that is being launched by Skillnet Ireland and the Network’s Promoting company Future Cast based at the W8 Complex in Manorhamilton tomorrow, Thursday May 6.
The network will offer upskilling, education and training to future-proof and grow Irish manufacturing. The network will specifically offer training focused on the quarry, construction and manufacturing industries.
With technology rapidly transforming these sectors, developing skills in digitalisation, automation and robotic processes is vital to ensure Irish businesses can compete and grow. Industry 4.0 will address this demand for digital skills, offering upskilling in Robotics, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, with programmes beginning on May 27.
