Lobos Send 13 Athletes to the NCAA West Regionals ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Thirteen track and field athletes from The University of New Mexico will represent the school and state in the NCAA West Regional tournament, tabbed to take place Wednesday through Saturday in College Station, Texas. Events for UNM will start Thursday. The top 12 competitors from each individual event will advance from the Preliminary Rounds to the NCAA Championship, which will take place June 9-12 in Eugene, Ore. On the women’s side, ten athletes qualified in seven different events. Kicking off for the Lobos will be Steffi Jones in the women’s 1,500m run at 5:30 p.m. MT. Tianna Holmes will then compete in the women’s 400m and 200m, tabbed to take place at 6:25 p.m. MT and 7:45 p.m. MT respectively. Closing out the UNM events on Thursday will be Hannah Miller in the women’s 10k, which will start at 8:10 p.m. MT.
