Weakest Link two decades after the quiz format first bowed on Seven Network.
The hybrid game show will be fully produced by BBC Studios’ local production arm, led by director of production Kylie Washington. It was commissioned by Channel Nine head of content, production and development Adrian Swift.
Weakest Link sees eight contestants answer general knowledge questions to bank prize money across multiple rounds.
The contestants take turns to answer the questions to build chains of correct answers. Consecutive correct answers greatly increase the value of the chain, while incorrect answers break it and force the contestants to start over on the lowest rung with the smallest amount of money.
