AN INNOVATIVE KALPUR DIRECT POURING APPLICATION ON AN AUTOMATIC HIGH-PRESSURE GREEN SAND MOULDING LINE
Foundrymen are often faced with the problem of finding a suitable casting and feeding technique for castings that are difficult or impossible to ingate from their perimeter. This may be due to the nature of the component or limited space on the pattern plate.
With Foseco’s new KALPUR development, foundrymen can for the first time apply the direct pouring technique to automatic green sand moulding lines. This means that the specific advantages of direct pouring, such as improved yield and directional solidifcation can now be realised on moulding lines where access to the cope is not possible.

The breathtaking pictures were submitted as part of the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers Living World competition and show some stunning sights from across the world.

To the disgust of many of our readers, we recently discovered that keeping leeches as pets is actually a thing.
And yeah, it s certainly… a bit different. But in light of humanity s disconnect with nature, and our concerning lack of knowledge about parasitic creatures, the idea that some of us are nurturing these parasites is also fascinating.
They re amazing, curious creatures that grow like crazy and make wonderful pets, one leech keeper told ScienceAlert.
They (preferring to stay anonymous to avoid online harassment) explained how individual leeches have their own unique personalities, with some being more adventurous and others more shy.
Aumund to supply conveying equipment to new line at Ciments du Sahel project in Senegal Written by Global Cement staff

Senegal: Aumund Group says that it is supplying conveying equipment to a new production line that will be built at Ciments du Sahel’s Kirene plant. The order package includes 23 bucket elevators, seven pan conveyors, eleven drag chain conveyors, two Samson material feeders, four Centrex silo discharge machines and 19 silo discharge gates. The machines will operate in all stages of the production process, from raw materials discharge to conveying between the clinker silo and the cement mill, and in the packing plant. Supply will be made in several tranches between March and June 2021. Commissioning is planned for the first quarter of 2022.
