SAN DIEGO The San Diego City Council was told last month it needs to spend nearly $264 million over the next five years to install new streetlights, make electrical updates, and replace aging poles and fixtures.
That’s an average of $52.7 million annually – a whopping 6,000% increase over the $864,000 being spent this fiscal year.

Child Rape Charge Lodged Against Hudson Man

45-year-old Kevin Lee Ward of Woodlawn Drive in Hudson was arrested Tuesday (January 19) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with one felony count of first-degree child rape and two felony counts of indecent liberties with a child. Ward was brought to the Caldwell County Detention Center under $200,000 secured bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today (January 20).

On Wednesday around 9:30 p.m, Sedalia Police responded to Inter-State Studios, 3500 Snyder Road, on a report of someone jumping the fence at Rac-Jac Storage at 3505 Green Ridge Road. A suspect was located and arrested inside the fenced area of the storage units. 31-year-old Adam C. Shephard of Sedalia was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold and charged with 2nd degree burglary, 1st degree trespassing, stealing and possession of burglary tools.
On Thursday evening around 7:30 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 3402 W. Broadway on a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed that it was a discipline issue between parent and child.
