SALT LAKE CITY It s only April and more than 155 wildfires have already scorched the drought-ridden parts of Utah.
Kaitlin Webb, the statewide prevention and fire communications coordinator for the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands said 98% of those fires were human-caused. Only three of those have been natural cause, she explained.
It s a troubling continuation of last year s record for human-caused fires: 77% of nearly 1,500 blazes started from things like sparking equipment, target shooting and fireworks.
Almost all of Utah is in a severe drought, which means wildfire officials are on alert and preparing for what could be a busy and dangerous fire season.
The last F-150 I owned was a 1996. Back then it was America s most popular vehicle and had been since 1981, during Ronald Reagan s first term as president, notes Business Insider. Mine was pretty spartan with a vinyl bench seat and painted metal for the interior roof. Still, it was a big improvement over what I d had before with an air-conditioned cab and hubs that didn t require you to get out of the truck to lock in the 4-wheel-drive.
The 2021 Ford F-150 was completely redesigned and a panel of 50 automotive journalists named it Truck of the Year, according to J.D. Power. After driving the 2021 version, it s easy to see why it won the title and why it remains the most popular vehicle in the U.S. after all these years.

5PM: 3 Utah PetSmart locations halt fish sales out of concern for zebra mussels

AMERICAN FORK – Fish sales have been paused at three PetSmart locations along the Wasatch Front due to a suspicion of invasive zebra mussels.
The company confirmed that the PetSmart location in American Fork was one of the impacted stores but did not give a location for the other two stores.
The current threat has been traced to aquarium Marimo moss balls contaminated with zebra mussels that were shipped to Petco and PetSmart locations in early March. We continue to follow guidance from regulatory agencies closely, and where there is suspicion of potential zebra mussels, out of an abundance of caution, we suspend fish sales to ensure our aquariums can be treated properly. This is the case for a few of the stores in the Salt Lake City area, said a statement released by the company.
