Two years after disgraced stock picker Neil Woodford’s flagship Equity Income fund was suspended, trapped investors are still waiting for the last of their money back, having lost more than £1bn.
The discovery of coronavirus, a vaccine to fight it and the rollout to the British population has been accomplished in less time than it has taken to offload the toxic assets from Mr Woodford’s failed flagship fund.
Even now, investors aren’t expected to receive the last of their remaining cash before the clocks go back as Link, the fund’s administrator, has struggled to sell the worst of the fund’s stocks.
