Woodford Reserve Plans To Expand Distillery, Add Three Copper Pot Stills
With the increase in demand for bourbon surging, Woodford Reserve is looking to meet that demand by expanding its Versailles, Kentucky distillery, doubling its production capacity and adding three new copper pot stills. The Brown-Forman Corporation, Woodford Reserve’s parent company, recently announced the planned expansion of the distillery as it celebrates the label’s 25th anniversary.
“The expansion of the distillery allows us to look to the next 25 years,” said Woodford Master Distiller Chris Morris in a prepared statement. “We use copper pot stills in a triple distillation process to handcraft bourbon, and today’s announcement builds on that legacy.”

Versailles, KY Woodford Reserve has released its annual limited-edition, high-proof expression – Woodford Reserve Batch Proof.
At 128.3 proof and housed in a new bottle, this expression is part of the annual Master’s Collection series, which celebrates Master Distiller Chris Morris and Assistant Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall and their commitment to craftsmanship.
Batch Proof is a celebration of Woodford Reserve’s proprietary process – blending barrels into a batch and then bottling the whiskey at its actual proof, straight from the barrel. Batch Proof is crafted using the same grain bill and process as Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon.

Woodford Reserve recently partnered with award-winning chocolatier Phillip Ashley Chocolates to celebrate the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday.
The Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon paired with chocolate is what the two feel is a great holiday pairing. The twice-barreled bourbon is known for its rich flavor profile full of sweet aromatic flavor notes and three different chocolate pairings are said to accentuate different characteristics of the bourbon, master distiller Elizabeth McCall noted. These include white chocolate, milk chocolate with almonds and sea salt dark chocolate.

Versailles, Ky Woodford Reserve has released its annual expression of Double Double Oaked Bourbon, part of an annual series that celebrates Master Distiller Chris Morris’ commitment to innovation and craftsmanship.
The product will be available at Woodford Reserve Distillery starting 10:00 AM EDT, Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
Customers may purchase up to four 375ml bottles. Due to COVID restrictions, the distillery will be reducing the number of guests inside the gift shop. People should dress for the possibility of standing outside in a line. Facial coverings, temperature checks, and social distancing will be required once inside.
