At least 48 inmates at Odisha s Berhampur Circle jail tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday. All infected inmates are being treated at the prison s newly constructed Covid Care Centre.

The Berhampur Circle jail is reeling under a massive outbreak of Covid-19 with at least 48 prisoners testing positive on Friday. All infected people have been moved to the newly built 100-bed Covid Care Centre on the jail grounds and are undergoing treatment there.

Mayurbhanj (Odisha) [India], May 11 (ANI): As many as 21 under-trial prisoners on Monday tested positive for COVID-19 at the Udala Sub-jail in Odisha s Mayurbhanj.
According to the Executive Officer of Udala NAC, Vidyadhar Dandapat, the prisoners who have tested positive are under isolation. Yesterday we came to know that 21 prisoners have tested positive for COVID-19. We are taking the best precautionary measures and those prisoners who have tested positive are being kept under isolation. We are also giving them proper medical treatment, said Dandapat. If needed, we will send the patients to the COVID care center, he added.

Israeli Teen Dies Days After West Bank Attack The Media Line Staff 05/06/2021
An Israeli teen has died of injuries he sustained in a drive-by shooting attack in the West Bank. Yehuda Guetta, 19, a student at the religious seminary in the Itamar settlement, was shot in the head on Sunday in the attack near a bus stop at the Tapuah junction in the northern West Bank near the city of Ariel. Two other students were shot in the attack and one remains in very serious condition.
Hours after Guetta’s death was announced, the Israel Security Agency, known as the Shin Bet, announced that it had apprehended the suspected shooter after a days-long manhunt. Muntasir Shalabi, 44, was caught after a raid on a building in the central West Bank village of Silwad. Shalabi, who reportedly does not have any known affiliations with terrorist organizations, is reported to have American citizenship.
