E. Arlene McCutchan age 93 of Maple Valley, WA passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020. Arlene was born on August 11, 1927 in Medora, North Dakota to Donald and Viola Ray. As a girl, Arlene loved keeping up with her dad and brother Leo outside on the ranch. She loved to talk about her childhood and about the good times in Medora or the long walks with her siblings to the one room schoolhouse. Arlene even played girls half-court basketball and traveled to other schools in the back of a truck. She spoke of her childhood with great affection. After high school she moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she attended business school. On a visit back home, she met and married the love of her life, Don McCutchan. They worked on local ranches in and around Medora, later moving to the Seattle area where they would raise their three children: Billie, Susie, and Jerry.
Janice Marie Eads 82, passed away peacefully Dec. 13, 2020, with her family by her side. She was born Jan. 12, 1938, in Mount Vernon to Wilfred and Alvenia Clark.
Janice was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Gran to her grandkids and Gigi to her great-grandkids. She was full of grace and beauty inside and out.
She was active and an instrumental member of St. James Episcopal Church. She also served on the Vincennes Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, was a member of the Garden Club, and enjoyed various other social activities. In her prime years, you could likely find her on the golf course or tennis court. She loved to compete in local tournaments and enjoyed the camaraderie.
