Meanwhile, the police union s Doug Griffith says citizens can expect crime to continue this summer. “People being out of work, out of school, on vacation, whatever that is, we have issues with the summertime. And I m afraid this is just going to be one of those summers that may be on a record pace. We re looking at over 400 murders for the year, maybe even closer to 500.”
