LONG ISLAND, NY With New York in a coronavirus footrace, balancing a spiking infection rate with vaccination distribution and battling a new, highly transmissible UK strain, a new reservation system for vaccines will kick off Monday, as well as the expansion of the group eligible for the vaccines, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Friday.
With hospital distribution not moving as quickly as planned although, Cuomo said, the rate picked up this week after he said those hospitals that did not use their allocations by Friday would lose them a new plan was unveiled Friday to accelerate distribution.
The Associated Press will hand out its individual NFL awards on the night before the Super Bowl in Tampa. Until then, here are some off-the-beaten track honors to consider.

Proposed Regulations and Fact Sheets
On December 9th, the DOL published proposed regulations that further implement the Paid Sick Leave Law. Although the regulations answer some questions, employers should note that the regulations are still in proposed form and not yet final. Employers and other members of the public have until February 7, 2021, to submit comments and feedback to the DOL regarding the proposed regulations.

McAvoy’s retirement reshuffles the top ranks of the influential utility, which is among the nation’s largest. Timothy Cawley, who leads Con Ed’s New York subsidiary, will succeed McAvoy as head of the parent corporation, while Matt Ketschke, a senior vice president,
