SAN DIEGO (KGTV) â With California s regional stay-at-home order lifted, the Maritime Museum of San Diego is joining the list of local attractions reopening outdoors.
The museum will reopen on Feb. 13, offering top deck tours and free boat rides with the purchase of admission. The museum s indoor operations will remain closed due to coronavirus restrictions.

With California lifting the regional stay-at-home order Monday, Gov. Gavin Newsom shared a new map Monday in his weekly press conference showing all nine Bay Area counties in the purple tier of the state s color-coded system that dictates which activities and businesses can open based on local case rates and test positivity. The state is expected to confirm tier assignments Tuesday.
In the purple tier, the state allows counties to reopen outdoor dining and worship services, hair and nail salons and other businesses, and increase capacity at retailers, with restrictions in place. Certain youth sports can also resume.
Eleven workplaces in or near WeHo see coronavirus outbreaks; the 8899 Beverly construction site tops list with 85 infections, followed by the WeHo Target store with 43 infections.
With California s newly expanded vaccination categories, Siskiyou County is holding a mass vaccination event at the County Fairgrounds later this month.
