•Virginia-based Phenomenal Spirits is releasing RY3 Whiskey, a tripart blend. The spirit is made from three whiskies with different mashbills and age statements finished together in vintage rum casks. It is at 50% abv and is available now in Maryland, Delaware, Mississippi, Alabama, and Washington, D.C. and retails for $55 a 750-ml. The company plans to expand to Connecticut, Tennessee, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts early next year. This month the distillery also premiered a private release whiskey program.
•Traverse City, Michigan-based North Peak Brewing Company is relaunching Berserker Imperial Stout after a multi-year hiatus. The 10.1% abv behemoth returns with a tweaked recipe and a Bourbon barrel aged variant. Its flavor profile includes cocoa, dark fruit, currants, and cinnamon.
