Ugandans are very divided on the motive of assassins that sunk 56 bullets into the car that was carrying General Katumba Wamala on Tuesday.
The driver and the General’s daughter paid a heavy price. They died instantly. And Gen.Katumba was whisked to hospital by a motor taxi as blood oozed out of his wounded arms. He spent one day and night in hospital.
On Wednesday, the former army commander and Police chief was discharged. Family and friends were seen greeting him at his private home in the capital Kampala.
As Ugandans piece up the motive of this movie-like assassination, a tabloid sponsored by the regime’s inner circle has decided to front a wild theory that a foreign neighbour has tentacles in the plot.
