Torngat fallout
Reaction to Ryan s candidacy has been steady, and the candidate himself took exception to some Facebook comments that his opponent, incumbent Lela Evans, had engaged with on Facebook. He said Evans was encouraging bullying and attached an image that appeared to show she loved a Facebook comment calling Ryan an idiot.
It’s really unfortunate that the PC candidate wants to open a platform on social media to promote and encourage bullying against me. I will stay the high road and focus on the topics of the district. a href https://twitter.com/CBCNL?ref src twsrc%5Etfw @CBCNL /a a href https://twitter.com/StJohnsTelegram?ref src twsrc%5Etfw @StJohnsTelegram /a a href https://twitter.com/NTVNewsNL?ref src twsrc%5Etfw @NTVNewsNL /a a href https://twitter.com/VOCMNEWS?ref src twsrc%5Etfw @VOCMNEWS /a a href https://twitter.com/CBCPolitics?ref src twsrc%5Etfw @CBCPolitics /a a href https://twitter.com/hashtag/nl
New DAY OF THE DEAD Series Captures the Spirit of Romero’s Movies By Mike Sprague Day of the Dead is coming soon. Steven Kostanski (
The Void, Leprechaun Returns) directed the first four episodes. And today, he teases the show really captures the spirit of Romero’s movies.
Kostanski tells
I can say honestly that the on-set experience for that show was such a scrappy low-budget adventure.
It definitely felt like what I imagined Romero felt like on the ’70s movies. It was a lot of really thinking on our feet and seeing how we can stretch our budget as much as possible.”

Day of the Dead Series Will Have Some Connection to the Original Film
In a recent interview with Bloody Disgusting, director Steven Kostanski has opened up about SYFY’s upcoming series adaptation of George A. Romero’s classic horror film
Day of the Dead, confirming that the 10-episode series will indeed have some ties to the original 1985 film. Kostanski also revealed that he has already completed filming the first four episodes of the upcoming series.
“I actually wrapped up working on that back in December; I ended up shooting the first four episodes of the show. So it’s a ten-episode series; it does have ties to the original movie. I can’t go into too many specifics, unfortunately. I’m not really allowed to say much of anything,”Kostanski said.
Individually, though, stars have developed, and senior Nate Lucier is the latest.
Coming off a sixth-place finish at the Class 3A PIAA tournament, Lucier has had to wait an extra month to begin his quest to climb all the way to the top of the podium.
The COVID-19 pandemic has delayed the start, and threatened the feasibility of actually finishing the wrestling season, but the social distancing, restrictions and isolation hardly phase Lucier, who’s made a career out of finding ways to improve without marquee help in the practice room.
“Wrestling is a unique sport, where, if you set your work ethic and goals and priorities high enough, you can attain the same thing as anyone else,” Coatesville coach Jeff Bowyer said. “It’s not as convenient to find different partners and extra work, but if you’re driven and focused, it’s attainable, and he’s done that.”
