APPLETON - Voters will decide six contested races for the Appleton Common Council in the April 6 election. The winners, plus two council members running uncontested, will join seven others in the middle of their terms to set city policy and determine the parameters of major projects like the renovation or reconstruction of the public library. As part of The Post-Crescent’s election coverage, the 12 candidates in the six races were asked to complete a questionnaire to explain why they re running for office, what makes them the better candidate and how they would address the most important issues facing the city.
