Bryn Cohn + Artists Dance Company at Jacob s Pillow. The area’s dance card remains strong despite the closures that impacted the art form’s local outlets in 2020. Sashaying into your summer are these reinvigorated festivals and performances. Jacob’s Pillow (through August 29) Rising from the ashes of the fire that destroyed its Doris Duke Theatre, the Beckett, Massachusetts dance center has in-person events by Dorrance Dance (June 30-July 4), Ballet Hispanico (July 14-18), Brian Brooks/Moving Company (July 21-25), Archie Burnett (July 28-August 1), Dallas Black Dance Theatre (August 4-8), Streb (August 18-22), and others. The Mount s 2021 Season

  Highlights include a variety of outdoor performances, lectures, and the return of the SculptureNow outdoor sculpture exhibit. Additional details on all programs, including advanced registration, can be found at EdithWharon.org.   We knew we wanted to do as much outdoors as possible, said Susan Wissler, executive director at The Mount. We envisioned different locations throughout the estate as unique performance venues and tried to match the performances to the space, making each site-specific. We will be presenting live music on a newly built stage below the stable, hosting lectures in an open-air tent in the field at the top of the property, and using the entire estate for roving readings and performances.  

Outdoor events, lectures and concerts headline The Mount s summer season

LENOX — Outdoor performances, lectures, monthly StoryWalks for families and the return of the SculptureNow outdoor exhibit, on June 1, are the focus of the 2021 summer season at The Mount, Edith Wharton s Home. “We knew we wanted to do as much outdoors as possible,” said Susan Wissler, executive director at The Mount, in a release. “We envisioned different locations throughout the estate as unique performance venues and tried to match the performances to the space, making each site-specific.
