Breckland Council promise street cleaning as duck mess woe continues in Swaffham
Ducks are continuing to be a nuisance in a market townâs churchyard and town centre.
Swaffham Town Council discussed the issue again during last weekâs full council meeting due to the ongoing issue of duck mess at the parish church.
Town clerk Richard Bishop said talks had been taking place with Breckland Council over potential signage to discourage people from attracting the ducks by feeding them.

The council had previously considered trying to move the ducks away from the town centre after councillor Shirley Matthews had complained about them leaving the churchyard in a âfilthyâ state during a meeting in October.

Councillors are set to discuss a breach in coronavirus rules by one of their members after she admitted walking down the high street following a positive test.
Now, Swaffham Town Council will be discussing the breach at a full council meeting on Wednesday, January 13.

The independent councillor released a statement on January 7 saying that she thought she could exercise once a day while in isolation .
She said: I apologise profusely to the people of Swaffham for potentially exposing them to the coronavirus. This happened as a result of me misinterpreting the government s advice on what can and can t be done whilst self-isolating.

Police have got involved after a town councillor admitted to walking down the high street without a mask on after testing positive for coronavirus.
Swaffham town councillor Lindsay Beech has been spoken to by police after she admitted to breaking her coronavirus isolation by walking around Swaffham town centre.
The independent councillor released a statement on January 7 after residents said on social media that she had been seen walking around the town after testing positive for the virus.

A councillor has apologised to the residents in her town after she failed to adhere to the government isolation guidelines following a positive Covid-19 test.
Swaffham town councillor Lindsay Beech has released a statement this afternoon to say she mistakenly misinterpreted the government advice, believing she was able to exercise once a day.
There was a social media uproar after the Independent councillor was seen walking around town at the weekend, despite being in a period of self-isolation.
