Lifetime breaks £40,000 charity donations with client referral scheme

Mortgage broker and financial adviser Lifetime has announced its 2021 charity partners; Children with Cancer UK and the Stroke Association UK. Over £40,000 in total has already been donated to 25 different hospices across the UK, thanks to donations being made via the Lifetime client referral scheme.  Now the innovative scheme will provide a £150 donation to either a hospice, Children with Cancer UK or the Stroke Association UK when a current client introduces someone they know to Lifetime. In an economically turbulent year thanks to the pandemic, Lifetime still managed to secure almost £2,000 in donations. Next year, the business is aiming to build on this and add a further £8,000.

Lighting scheme in Lower Peover would spoil village character

Swan Green HOUSEBUILDER Harvey Homes says it is being refused an agreement to allow it to install traffic calming measures and footpath lighting unless it agrees to provide floodlighting. The company was granted approval in 2015 for a development at Swan Green, Lower Peover, which is set to be completed by May 2021. It says there was no requirement at the time to provide lighting on Middlewich Road, but it has received a request by Cheshire West highways to create a lighting link from the entrance to the development to Holly Tree Drive. The company said the floodlighting would worsen speeding along Middlewich Road, cause light pollution for residents and spoil the village character.
