A special tradition that started two years ago, between Ava, 3, and mail carrier Ian Simon, has continued through the coronavirus pandemic.
It especially has meant more in the last 10 months, said her dad David Whitlow of Portland, Ore. It gives little Ava something to look forward to every day, helping make the best of her “stuck-at-home” situation, reported KPTV Portland.
Separated by a window, she and Simon do a little dance every morning and Ava smiles and waves at him. “One of us started to do a little jig and we just keep on doing it now,” said Simon, a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier. “She gets so excited. It’s amazing.”
