THE owners of a green and black Indian parrot have appealed for her safe return after she escaped and flew off earlier this month. They have offered a £200 reward for the Derbyan parakeet, which originates from the Himalayas on the Indian border with China. Owner Nicola Clifford, 52, and her son Jocelyn, 14, from Melksham, say they are absolutely distraught after their parrot Hildy escaped while builders were fitting a new bathroom. Mrs Clifford, of Tower Road, said: She usually has the free range of the house but just got spooked by the builders and escaped through an open door. We have had reports of four positive sightings since she went missing on December 11 and are desperate to get her back.
