WINAMAC â Rensselaer Centralâs baseball team won its fourth straight game and second straight in Pulaski County with a 21-3 romp of host Winamac at Winamacâs Town Park.
The Bombers (5-1) blew the game open with a six-run second inning and shortened the game to five innings with an eight-run fourth and a four-run fifth.
They managed 12 hits, including a 3 for 4 effort from Jacob Pickering, who had a triple and a double and drove in five runs. Austin Francis was 2 for 4 with a grand slam home run and a double and Tommy Boyles was 2 for 3 with a double.

His plea came a week after three others had admitted causing the male actual bodily harm during a hearing at the crown court. They are Ethan Pickering, also aged 18 and of Lower Brook Street, Ulverston; 20-year-old Liam Pickering, of Coniston Drive, Kendal; and a 17-year-old male who cannot be identified because of his age. All had previously denied a charge alleging that they caused grievous bodily harm with intent.

A fourth young man has admitted involvement in a violent attack on a teenager in Kendal.
At Carlisle Crown Court this morning, 18-year-old Joshua Callum Pickering faced one charge. Pickering, of Lower Brook Street, Ulverston, pleaded guilty to assaulting a male, causing actual bodily harm, on or about August 21 last year.
His plea came a week after three others had admitted causing the male actual bodily harm during a hearing at the crown court.

Three teens appeared before Carlisle Crown Court
Three teenagers have admitted being involved in a serious late-night assault on a teenager in Kendal.
Detectives began an investigation and made a public appeal for information after the incident at Kent Street in the town. This was reported to have occurred at about 12.45am on August 21.
âThe 17-year-old boy suffered minor injuries,â a Cumbria police spokesman said in the aftermath.
At Carlisle Crown Court today, three teenagers admitted assaulting the male, causing him actual bodily harm.
They were Liam Pickering and Ethan Pickering, both aged 18, and a 17-year-old male who canât be identified because of his age.
