Wrap-up Winona justice program event set for May 26

WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) Engage Winona will host its third and final virtual Winona County justice program event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 26.
The Zoom event’s focus will be on ways the community and the county can work together. Participants will choose to join one of three breakout rooms, on the following topics:
Youth community-based programs and services
Adult community-based programs and services
Restorative justice and healing programs.
Each group will review needs, identify existing resources and plan achievable next steps to move forward.
The event follows a March listening session and an April question-and-answer session with county officials, who responded to nearly 20 questions from community members. The questions ranged from whether the county plans to consider a juvenile facility to how the community can work together to develop programs outside
