Reports of explosions are rolling in from Bossier City today. What makes it more concerning is the fact that the cacophony is emanating from our very own Barksdale Air Force Base!
According to the report from Bossier Now, you can relax. I realize that may be hard to do while explosions are going off, but it s all part of the plan. Barksdale s 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight is conducting a training exercise that requires the big booms. They are practicing demolition and there s really only so much you can simulate.
Officials have said that the noise from those demolitions may travel further than expected due to the cloud cover and overcast weather in the area. Just to review: If you hear an explosion today, relax. If you hear one tomorrow, it may be time to panic!

Local Shreveport Attorney Arrested for Stalking Teen
An arrest warrant for 71 year-old Frank Brown Jr. was issued Monday charging him with indecent behavior with a juvenile and stalking.
Brown was at the Caddo Courthouse on business when he was arrested Wednesday and was taken to Caddo Correctional Center. His bond is currently set at $25,000.
Brown stands accused of sending inappropriate and lewd pictures to the juvenile victim as well as trespassing. Investigating officers tell KEEL News that Brown was leaving pornographic images of himself near the victim s property.
Investigations also uncovered video that shows Brown entering the victim s property several times in a week.
