Tue: Big banks buck the market
Led down by Teva and Perrigo, Mizrahi and Discount posted the biggest gains today on the Tel Aviv 35 Index.
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.14%, to 1,631.15 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index fell 0.14%, to 1,699.24 points; but the BlueTech Global Index rose 0.33% to 591.45 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.01% to 377.56 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.44 billion in equities and NIS 3.65 billion in bonds.
On the foreign exchange market, the Bank of Israel set the representative shekel-dollar rate up 0.031% from Monday, at NIS 3.241/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.003% lower, at NIS 3.915/€.

Strauss Group’s home water dispensers are found in 700,000 homes in Israel and abroad. That makes the Israeli company, best known for its dairy and other food products, very much a denizen of the old economy of manufacturing. But the line between companies like Strauss and high-tech has been fading in recent years.
In the case of water dispensers, Strauss has developed an app to operate them. Another technology it has developed enables the device to learn a family’s consumption habits and adjust itself accordingly. So, if they usually have their first cup of coffee at 7 A.M., the machine will start to boil water a few minutes beforehand.
Mon: Delek soars as TASE edges higher
Delek was boosted by the news that an Abu Dhabi company has agreed to buy its Tamar stake while Shikun & Binui led the declines.

The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.13%, to 1,633.38 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.10%, to 1,701.65 points; and the BlueTech Global Index rose 0.46%, to 589.51 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.05% to 377.61 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.76 billion in equities and NIS 3.38 billion in bonds.
On the foreign exchange market, the Bank of Israel set the representative shekel-dollar rate 0.461% lower from Friday, at NIS 3.240/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.219% lower, at NIS 3.915/€.
