SWEETWATER WETLANDS TOUR: Get out into nature during a ranger-led tour of
Sweetwater Wetlands Park on May 8. Online pre-registration through Eventbrite is required. The Eventbrite link can be found on the park’s Facebook page at bit.ly/wetlands21. Only 10 spaces per tour are available. The ranger will lead a comfortable walk around the park and speak about how the park benefits the area’s water, wildlife and surrounding community. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The tour will begin at 8:30 a.m. and is free with park admission of $5 per car or $2 per person for bicyclists, pedestrians and buses. Philippine Airlines, the country’s flag carrier, is planning to fly non-stop from Manila to Tel-Aviv in October 2021, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced on Tuesday.

This was the result of a series of discussions between Israel’s delegation and PAL executives amid the improving COVID-19 situation in Israel
According to Amir Halevi, Director General of Israel Ministry of Tourism, this is good news for all Filipinos who have been longing of a spiritual pilgrimage to the Holy Land or a Mediterranean getaway after more than a year of being in the lockdown.

Israel Ministry of Tourism director general Amir Halevi said the non-stop flights between Manila and Tel Aviv would be a “game changer.”
“I am pleased to give this important first step to the tourism industry between Israel and the Philippines. Direct flights between our two capitals will be a game-changer for tourism and business connectivity. This time, Israel has a unique advantage as a safe and healthy country. We hope to welcome you soon in Israel!” said Amir Halevi, Director General of Israel Ministry of Tourism.

The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced the possibility of direct flight from Manila to Tel Aviv via Philippine Airlines (PAL), the country’s flag carrier with the recent discussion between Israel’s delegation and PAL executives. PAL plans to do a nonstop flight in October of 2021 for Filipino pilgrims to the Holy Land or a Mediterranean getaway after more than a year of being in the lockdown.
