The Guardian reported that officials from the Israeli Defence Ministry visited the company s offices near Tel Aviv on Wednesday. The NSO said it had been informed in advance about the inspection. The company is working in full transparency with the Israeli authorities, it said.

In an attempt to strengthen the battered economy from the novel coronavirus pandemic in Palestine, Israel on Tuesday announced that it will be issuing at least 16,000 more work permits to residents from West Bank. Local newspaper The Times of Israel revealed that the decision was reached by the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories of the Israeli Defence Ministry known by the acronym COGAT that handles the Palestinian civilian affairs. In an official statement on July 28, the military body announced that it will give permits to more Palestinians in areas of hospitality and construction business.
PARIS (AP) â France s defense minister wants to learn from her Israeli counterpart what, if anything, Israel knew about the clients of the spyware company NSO who possibly targeted the cellphones of President Emmanuel Macron and other members of the French government.
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz was meeting in Paris on Wednesday with French Defense Minister Florence Parly, and the French government spokesman said Parly was questioning him about âthe knowledge the Israeli government had about the activities of NSO clients.â
Gabriel Attal said Parly also wants to know what measures will be taken to prevent such âmisappropriations.â
France is trying to get to the bottom of allegations that in 2019 Macron and members of his government may have been targeted by an unidentified Moroccan security service, using NSOâs Pegasus spyware.

US officials have raised concerns with Israeli defense representatives over the controversial Israeli cyber firm NSO Group, whose software has reportedly been used by governments around the world to track political dissidents and journalists, the Axios news site reported Wednesday.
Brett McGurk, the American National Security Council Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, met Thursday at the White House with Zohar Palti, the Israeli Defense Ministry’s political-military bureau head, the site reported.
