Reigning QNB Stars League title holders Al Duhail will be targeting back-to-back final appearances in the Qatar Cup when they take on Al Gharafa in a blockbuster semi-final today.
The high profile clash will kick off at 7:45pm at Al Duhail Stadium.
Al Duhail, in their recent outing at the FIFA Club World Cup clinched 5th position after beating Asian champions Ulsan Hyundai in play-off.
Coach Sabri Lamouchi’s men are coming off from a morale-boosting 2-0 win over heavyweights Al Rayyan in last week’s QSL clash, but the French tactician is aware of Al Gharafa’s capabilities despite the latter’s 0-1 loss at the hands of Al Sailiya few days ago.

Doha: The 16th week of this season s QNB Stars League (QSL) witnessed hot action with Table toppers Al Sadd recording yet another win to extend their dominance.
A total of 11 goals were scored over six matches, all of which ended in victories.
On Saturday, Al Sadd kept their 13-point lead over closest challengers and holders Al Duhail on top of the table following their 3-0 win over Al Ahli.
Baghdad Bounedjah, Boualem Khoukhi and substitute Tarek Salman scored the goals as Al Sadd moved on to 44 points. Al Ahli slipped from sixth to seventh place with 23 points.

Doha: Ismaeel Mohammad and Michael Olunga were on target as goals in either halves sealed a 2-0 victory for QNB Stars League title holders Al Duhail against Al Rayyan at Al Duhail Stadium yesterday.
It was Al Duhail s 10th win of the season as they continued to chase title favourites Al Sadd - who are at the top of the points table with a tally of 44 - 13 points ahead of the reigning champions.
On the other hand, yesterday s loss cost Al Rayyan their place among the top four as they stood at 25 points while Qatar SC replaced the Lions after their win over Umm Salal yesterday. Al Rayyan slipped to the fifth place.
