Indoor vertical farming startup Bowery Farming said it raised $300 million in its latest round of funding, the largest capital infusion on record for the industry
Bowery s CEO and founder Irving Fain said the new funds will be used to build additional farms across the United States and explore global expansion opportunities
The funding infusion will also allow the company to expand into new crops, such as strawberries, tomatoes, and carrots, and grow them closer to consumers
