A body recovered from Lago de Claire in Irving on April 29 has been confirmed to be that of ECS Research Program Manager Lashun Massey.
According to a video posted by the Irving Police Department, Massey’s husband reported her missing in the early morning on Tuesday, April 27, after she failed to return home from her daily walk. Two witnesses saw Massey get out of the lake around 5:30 am and stand on a bench before walking off, and information from neighbors and Ring doorbell cameras placed her in the vicinity of the lake again a couple of hours later. Investigators did not find anything when the water was searched with sonar technology on Tuesday.

A body has been recovered in the search for missing Texas beauty queen Lashun Massey.
Lashun, 38, was reported missing Tuesday after she didn t return home from her morning walk.
On Thursday, police said they d pulled a body from the Lake Lago de Claire in Irving, Texas, close to where Lashun had gone missing.
While they are awaiting official identification from the medical examiner s office, the clothing matched what Lashun was wearing when she went missing, said Irving Police Department Public Information Officer Robert Reeves.

Beauty queen Lashun Massey, wearing a black hoodie and checkered pajama pants, was last seen around 7:30 a.m. near Lago de Claire a small lake in the Las Colinas on April 27. There has been no confirmation that the body found is Massey’s.
At a late morning press conference Irving PD Public Information Officer Robert Reeves confirmed a body was found submerged in the water around 9:45 a.m.
