The Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) has earmarked $9.4 billion in sovereign lending to the Philippines for the next three-years to help the government revitalize the economy amid the coronavirus disease pandemic.
In a statement, the Manila-based multilateral institution, said that at least two-thirds of the bank’s financing package, under the Philippines’ Country Operations Business Plan 2021–2023, will go to infrastructure, health, and employment recovery.

The official development assistance (ODA), equivalent to P451.7 billion, aims to support government programs and policies designed to repair damage to the business sector and labor market, accelerate economic recovery, and expand access to public health services, ADB said.
